As I sit and refect on today, it is difficult to find the right words to describe all the emotions and feelings flowing through the new area from all those present. In all honesty, it was such an honor that The Christian Bryant Foundation was given the opportunity to be a part of the renovated inpatient area of The Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital. When you walk through the glass doors, you walk into a different world...it feels good. This is a place where children are treated for all different types of cancer and rare blood disorders. Over 90% of the children diagnosed with cancer from our region will be treated in this unit. Three years ago today, my home was 316, one of the renovated rooms, Christian was directly above 316 in bed 6 in PICU. I wish I had recorded the speakers today, especially Dr. Bhakta and Dr. Keates. I am thankful to everyone that attended the opening. It was very special to stand beside Heather Charre today when the speakers were talking. Heather is like me, we did not have the desired outcome for our child, but we both still love the hospital and all those that cared for our children. The art, “Bailey’s Collection for Christian” is remarkable and The Christian Bryant Foundation is humbled that we were able to make this significant donation. I cannot wait to hear what the children that will move into this area soon think about the art and the renovations. Our team of Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist are the best in the country, I am honored to call them friends now and also very thankful that they still talk about Christian show their love for her and our family. I pray you never have to visit this area as a patient or parent, but it is an incredible place of love and healing. As always, Love Deeply, Forgive Often and Find your Blessings! - Robyn
